Launched on August 30, 2019, the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) under the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) significantly upgraded its predecessor, which only allowed reporting of cybercrimes related to Child Pornography (CP) and Rape or Gang Rape (RGR). The enhanced version of the portal, officially dedicated to the nation by the Hon’ble Home Minister of India on January 20, 2020, now supports the reporting of a wide range of cybercrimes.

– **Special Focus:** Emphasis on reporting online Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and incidents of Rape and Gang Rape.
– **Monitoring Dashboards:** National, State, and District-level dashboards for tracking and managing incidents.
– **Online Tracking:** Complainants can track the status of their reports online.
– **Cyber Volunteers:** Registered volunteers act as Cyber Awareness Promoters.
– **Chatbot Integration:** Vani-CyberDost, an automated chatbot with predefined features, is available on the NCRP platform.
– **New Module for Financial Cyber Fraud:** The “Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System” (CFCFRMS) has been introduced, integrating 85 banks, payment intermediaries, and wallets with the cybercrime backend portal. This module allows citizens to report financial cyber frauds through the national helpline number 1930.

**Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System (CFCFRMS):**

To address financial fraud effectively, the CFCFRMS has been developed as a unified platform where law enforcement agencies (LEAs), banks, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), financial intermediaries, payment wallets, and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) collaborate. This system ensures swift and effective responses to prevent the diversion of funds from victims to fraudsters. Financial cyber frauds, including those involving digital banking, credit/debit cards, and payment systems, can be reported via the 1930 helpline number or through the NCRP.

This integrated approach aims to streamline the process of reporting and managing cybercrimes, enhancing the effectiveness of responses and support for affected individuals.
